the bizarre thing is i bagged the new squarepusher single.
one side is very sexy - is that the redhotcar girls side that
everyones talking about?? the obelisk side can reproduce
squarepushers performance if you pick the needle up & consciously drop it
down again - what djs call 'dip n flip' during
random points while the record is spinning. this is exactly what
the performance was like, but if you listen to the record continuously its
actually not a bad paradigm of a two-step track.
suppose this all goes back to the
1) what do you expect from an idm performance?
2) is one man & a black box a musician? or....
3) what does john cage have to do with anything?
4) is there "d" in idm? or should it be ivm "intelligent vertical music??
